To get through to today's dancers that at the end of the day we are all performers and entertainers. The minute you set foot onto any stage it is no longer about you, your technique or your training (that is what class is for). It is about the audience. Whether it's your parents or judges or a complete stranger, it is about them. How you make them FEEL, where you take them, about the story. It's about making them not be able to look at thier phone for 3 minutes because they are captive to what's unfolding. In today's competitive dance world I feel like we have lost sight of that and I work every day to bring that back.
