The dancer's body is simply the luminous manifestation of the soul.”
Specialty: Contemporary.
Teaching Experience: 4 years.
My experience consists of 14 years of dance training in several different styles of modern, ballet, hip-hop, African, jazz, etc. I began my dance training at Dancinginxs Dance Studio in 2011 and furthered my training at New World School of the Arts High School. I am currently a Junior at Marymount Manhattan College pursuing a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Choreography. Since 2022, I have performed works by Robert Burke, Gentry George, Adesola Osakalumi, Kanji Segawa, and Ginger Thatcher. I began choreographing when I was 13 years old and have developed a passion for it ever since. I have choreographed over 10 pieces in the past four years for both competitive and concert works.
Personal Goals:
Continue my practice and growth through the exploration of movements. Help other dancers achieve that same goal by allowing them to feel in control of their bodies while teaching them to find both comfort and discomfort in movement. Keep pursuing my path as a choreographer and well-rounded dancer in addition to becoming an artist with my own voice.
I have received choreography, technique, and entertainment awards, as well as national titles for pieces I have choreographed. I have also been awarded scholarships and the dean's award for dance at NWSA.
